Jobs Heilbronn

Not only because of the innovative work we offer our (future) employees it is profitable to work and live in the city with the title "most dynamic city in southwest Germany". Heilbronn has much to offer - from our progressive startup and renowned industrial companies, as well as our own university, to impressive history, great sights and breathtaking views over seemingly endless vineyards.

First mentioned in a document in 741, Heilbronn received its first imperial constitution in 1371. In 1803, Heilbronn reaches the end of the imperial city period and continues to develop. Already at the end of the 19th century our city becomes the second largest industrial city in Württemberg.

In 1935 the Heilbronn port becomes the sixth largest inland port in Germany. But nine years later, in December 1944, the city experiences a devastating air raid. In mid-April 2019, Heilbronn becomes the venue for the BUGA under the motto "Blooming Life".

Because numerous historical buildings git destroyed by the air raid on the 4th of December 1944, Heilbronn no longer has an old town. Nevertheless, our cosmopolitan city has historical and other sights to offer, which is why our city deserves more than just one visit:

- Town hall with astronomical clock, Kilianskirche
- Deutschhof with Deutschordensmünster, Käthchenhaus
- Bollwerksturm, Götzenturm (towers of the former city fortification)
- and many more

In addition to a meaningful history, many important people who have promoted our city have lived in Heilbronn. However, we are convinced that people with creative and forward-looking developments and ideas will continue to come from this city in the future.

These included the discoverer of the energy conservation law, Robert Mayer, the designer of the first high-speed petrol engines, Wilhelm Maybach, the writer Victoria Wolff, as well as the first Federal President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Theodor Heuss, and many more.

In addition to exciting jobs in Heilbronn, there is considerable economic power in our city, which is clearly noticeable for its inhabitants. It is not for nothing that Heilbronn bears the title "most dynamic city in southwest Germany".

- balanced industry and company size mix
- over 70,000 employees subject to social insurance contributions
- leader in the secondary sector: mechanical engineering and toolmaking, electrical industry, automotive industry, food and beverage industry
